Reorientation in the Faculty of Science
Only students administratively registered for the 2023-2024 academic year at a university and/or lycée (CPGE, BTS) can benefit from a reorientation at our establishment.
You are currently enrolled :
- in L1 or L2 at the University of Montpellier (FdS, UFR STAPS, Polytech, IUT ...) or outside the University of Montpellier
- in PASS at the UM
- in CPGE 1st or 2nd year of a lycée
- in BTS
Do not cancel your registration at your home university until your application has been accepted.

Step 1: Your application for reorientation
1/ Composition of the application (regardless of your current situation) :
- A CV describing your post-baccalaureate career and giving your contact details (address, phone number, e-mail...).
- A letter of motivation explaining your choice of reorientation, clearly indicating the field, semester and, if applicable, course in which you wish to enrol.
- The "Reorientation File" form duly completed

- Copy of baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate transcripts
- For CPGE students not enrolled at the FdS: an educational notice completed by your preparatory class supervisors.
-A request for validation of prior learning (see useful documents): You may have acquired one or more TU during this odd-numbered semester at your current institution; it is possible to request equivalence between the courses you have taken and those offered in the course you are applying for
In this case, you must complete a request for validation of prior learning, which will be examined by the teacher in charge.
- Copies of diplomas/certificates relevant to this application
- All documents enabling the commission to assess the nature and level of the studies for which you are applying (program, diploma supplement, certificate of credit, etc.).
- Proof of enrolment from your current school (school certificate, student card)
For CPGE students with dual enrolment at the FdS (lycées conventionnés)
Please send only the reorientation file and the form requesting validation of prior learning.
2/ Submission of application from: November 20, 2023
PLEASE NOTE: Applications can only be sent by e-mail. All documents must be received by the Faculty of Science no later than:December 20, 2023 at: fds.reorientation@umontpellier.fr
Step 2: Your application is accepted
You are a student at a CPGE with a special agreement (Joffre, F. Bazille, Mermoz, N-D La Merci, Daudet, Joliot Curie).
You must:
- Contact the Registrar's Office of your current school to request cancellation of your administrative registration
- Your pedagogical registration will be carried out by the Registrar's Office of the Faculty of Science with reference to the file you have previously completed.

If you are from a CPGE not covered by the agreement
You must:
- Contact the Registrar's Office of your current institution to request cancellation of your administrative registration
- Proceed with your 2023-2024 administrative registration with the Faculty of Science as soon as you receive the reply e-mail, by arriving on thedate and at the time indicated in the e-mail, with the duly completed registration file and the necessary supporting documents, to collect your student card
- Your pedagogical registration will be carried out by the Registrar's Office of the Faculty of Science with reference to the file you have previously completed.

You are a student at another university
You must:
- Contact your current school's Registrar's Office to: request the transfer of your student file
- Complete the administrative certificate of accounting status : Download here
- Proceed with your 2023-2024 administrative registration with the Faculty of Science as soon as you receive the reply e-mail, by arriving on thedate and at the time indicated in the e-mail, with the duly completed registration file and the necessary supporting documents, to collect your student card
- Your pedagogical registration will be carried out by the Faculty of Science's schooling services with reference to the file you have previously completed

You are a student at the University of Montpellier
You must:
- Request cancellation of your enrolment from your home institution by enclosing the e-mail sent to you
- Your enrolment will be carried out by the Faculty of Science's Registrar's Office with reference to the enrolment form you have completed.

If you are already a student of the Faculty of Science
- The administrative enrolment service will modify your enrolment
- The updating of your pedagogical enrolment will be done by the Faculty of Science's schooling services with reference to the file you have previously filled in.
The calendar
Application deadline : December 20, 2023
You will be informed by e-mail, once the pedagogical decision has been taken:
a) Acceptance
b) Refusal
c) Acceptance subject to conditions (e.g. awaiting competition results).
Courses for the second semester of the Bachelor's degree will begin at the Faculty of Science on January 22, 2024.
