Newsline from the FdS board meeting of June 14, 2017

The Board, chaired by Alain Hoffmann, Director of the Faculty of Science,
was held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

 

The following points were discussed:

Following questions raised at the previous Board meeting about the delay in distributing pay slips, Mr Hoffmann contacted the Director of Human Resources for further information. Mr. Pinerot indicated the University's intention to transmit the 10,000 tax returns to staff as a matter of priority. March pay slips have been made available to staff.

The Board approved the applications for emeritus status from 4 research professors in the Faculty of Science.

In recent months, 7 of the Faculty's rooms have been equipped with video projectors, and a videoconferencing system has been installed in the large meeting room in Building 13.

The Board approved the proposal for the second wave of educational projects, for a total of €153,000.

The text of the examination regulations for the 2017-18 academic year, which had been discussed and amended at the May 17 meeting, was voted by the Board.

Following discussions at the previous Board meeting, the corrected version of the internal regulations for the CMI-Figure UM Pedagogy Support Service was approved by the meeting.

The Board approved the partnership agreements between :

- The Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Montpellier and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier have added a "Biologie Santé" ("Biology and Health") specialization to their range of training courses, with a "BIOTIN" pathway and a "Bioproductions and Health Innovation" profile,

- The Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Montpellier and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier concerning the operating procedures for the Polytech Engineering School Pathway,

- The association club emploi cadres and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier,
- The University of Fribourg - Switzerland - and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier,
- The Ecole des Mines d'Ales, the Institut Mines-Telecom and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier,
- The collèges Philippe Gérard, Paul Langevin, Romain Rolland, the lycée Jean Moulin and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier.
- Société Calcaires du Biterrois and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier.
- Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Montpellier and the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier.

The scoping letter for the 2017-2018 referential was the subject of debate and requests for modification. It will be put to the vote along with the referential at the next Restricted Council.
