The Council, chaired by Alain Hoffmann, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Geneva (
), met on Wednesday, June 14, 2017
The following points were discussed:
Pay stubs
Following questions raised at the previous Board meeting regarding the delay in distributing pay stubs, Mr. Hoffmann contacted the Director of Human Resources to obtain further information. Mr. Pinerot indicated that the University’s priority was to send the 10,000 tax forms to staff. The March pay stubs have been made available to staff.
Applications for emeritus status
The Council approved the requests for emeritus status submitted by four faculty members from the Faculty of Sciences.
Facility Equipment in the Faculty of Sciences
In recent months, seven classrooms in the Faculty have been equipped with video projectors, and a videoconferencing system has been installed in the large meeting room in Building 13.

Educational Projects – Second Round
The Board approved the second round of educational project proposals, totaling €153,000.
Exam Regulations for Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs, 2017–2018
The text of the exam regulations for the 2017–18 academic year, which had been discussed and amended at the meeting on May 17, was approved by the Council.
Rules and Regulations of the Educational Support Service for the Master’s Program in Engineering
Following discussions at the previous Council meeting, the revised version of the rules of procedure for the CMI-Figure UM Teaching Support Service was approved by the assembly.
Voting on agreements
The Council has approved the partnership agreements between:
– The Montpellier University Polytechnic School and the Montpellier Faculty of Sciences regarding the academic program, a major in “Health Biology,” the “BIOTIN” track, and the “Innovation in Health Bioproductions” profile,
– The Montpellier University Polytechnic School and the Montpellier Faculty of Sciences regarding the operating procedures of the Polytech Engineering Schools Program,
– The Association Club Emploi Cadres and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier,
– The University of Fribourg – Switzerland – and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier,
– The École des Mines d’Ales, the Institut Mines-Telecom, and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier,
– The Philippe Gérard, Paul Langevin, and Romain Rolland middle schools, the Jean Moulin high school, and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier.
– The Société Calcaires du Biterrois and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier.
– The Montpellier Institute of Business Administration and the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier.
Faculty of Sciences Curriculum Guide 2017–2018
The guidance letter for the 2017–2018 framework has been the subject of discussion and requests for changes. It will be put to a vote along with the framework at the next Executive Committee meeting.
