Forensic Science Conference

More and more recent graduates are looking to build their careers in homeland security. They are drawn to these new expert roles in forensic science, which are promoted through a wide variety of TV shows.successful police operations. The forensic and scientific police unit—composed primarily of officers, technicians, and engineers—has seen an increase in recruitment from various fields of post-high-school scientific education.

2 lectures in the library's video room—Building 8—from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Overview of the workshops and activities offered by the academic departments of the Faculty of Sciences

CARASCIENCES: A 15-minute one-on-one session with a science explorer – Place Lagarrigue (University Library Plaza)

Make an appointment with physicists, mathematicians, mechanical engineers, chemists, astronomers, biologists, agronomists, oceanographers, geologists, computer scientists …

To schedule an appointment by email: carasciences@gmail.com

Ask them all your questions about the universe, light, Earth, the oceans, energy, plants, and viruses.

Chemistry – Building 7

=> Overview of Academic Programs(Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Chemistry)
=> Overview of the DNO Track(Preparation for the National Diploma in Oenology)
=> ProPAC Bachelor’s Degree and L2 PréPAC Preparatory Year in Perfumery – Flavors and Cosmetics
(Information booth with faculty and students from the current class)
=> ICAP Master’s in Cosmetics(Information booth with faculty and students from the current class)
=> ICAP Master’s in Flavors and Perfumes(Information booth with faculty and students from the current class)

Presentation of high-tech materials with “magical” properties synthesized by students (superconductors, phosphorescent and fluorescent materials, ferrofluids, synthetic gemstones)

To demonstrate the role of chemistry in everyday life, particularly through simple and fun culinary experiments …
To show the public and let them try it out for themselves, too …

This interactive experience offers a unique exploration of the world of atoms. Come discover what lies behind Dmitri Mendeleev’s periodic table of elements through the fun and interactive web documentary *Atome Hôtel*. The importance of atoms in our daily lives will be revealed through a light-up display featuring the famous periodic table and housing a multitude of “atomic” objects. The event will also include experiments demonstrating the connections between atoms and colors.

A tool for imaging the surfaces of objects at very high resolution. Many scientific fields—such as materials science, nanotechnology, and biology—use this technique to study microstructures in order to better understand certain properties of their samples.
Come take a closer look at matter and discover the microscopic world!
