The UFR Council, chaired by Mr. Hoffmann, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, met on Wednesday, February 7, 2018
The following current issues were discussed:
=> The key dates for the Faculty of Sciences Council elections, as well as those for the election of BIATS staff representatives to the Joint Staff-Management Committee (CPE), were presented.
=> Mr. Hervé Jourde, Director of DESTEEM, read the two motions passed in his teaching department and answered questions regarding these motions.
=> Mr. Gilles Halbout, President of COMUE LR, and Ms. Charlène Marin, Project Manager, presented the progress of the Campus Plan, as well as the tentative schedule and the nature of the upcoming work.

Minutes of the Faculty of Sciences Departmental Council Meetings
The minutes of the Science Department Council meetings held on November 15, December 13, and December 22, 2017, were approved.
Vote on two conventions
– Agreement with the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) regarding the use of the Villa Thuret Botanical Garden located on the Cap d’Antibes,
– Agreement on the exchange of faculty and students with Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
Update on Teaching Methods
=> Presentation and vote on the draft academic calendar for the 2018–2019 academic year of the Faculty of Sciences,
=> Student Plan: presentation and explanation of budget requests submitted to the school district office via the CFVU Vice President.
Miscellaneous Questions
Ms. Joab alerts the Council to the overcrowding observed inTU and requests that new groups be created whenever overcrowding is observed.
Budget indicators
Presentation of budget indicators by Mr. Thierry Bretagnon, Deputy Director of Assets and Finance.
Following the Faculty’s plenary meeting, the Select Committee (Colleges A and B) met to approve, respectively, the composition of the selection committees for the recruitment campaigns for one position of Associate Professor (section 31, position 884) and two positions of Full Professor (sections 64-65, position 886; section 67, position 567)
