Newsline from the FdS board meeting of February 7, 2018
The UFR board meeting, chaired by Mr Hoffmann, Director of the Faculty of Science, was held on Wednesday February 7, 2018.
The following topical issues were discussed:
=> The important dates of the elections for the Faculty of Science Council and for the BIATS staff representatives on the Commission Paritaire d'Établissement -CPE- were presented.
=> Mr. Hervé Jourde, Director of DESTEEM, read out the two motions passed by his department, and answered questions on the motions.
=> Mr. Gilles Halbout, President of COMUE LR, and Ms. Charlène Marin, Project Manager, presented the progress of the Campus Plan, as well as the provisional timetable and nature of the work ahead.

UFR Sciences council minutes
The minutes of the UFR Sciences Councils of November 15, December 13, December 22 2017 have been voted.
Vote on 2 agreements
- Agreement with the Institut National de Recherche Agronomique - INRA - on the use of the Villa Thuret botanical garden at Cap d'Antibes,
- Agreement on the exchange of teachers and students with CHIANG MAI University in Thailand.
Pedagogy update
=> Presentation and vote in principle of the 2018-2019 academic year calendar for the Faculty of Science,
=> Student plan: presentation and explanation of budget requests sent to the rectorate via the CFVU Vice-President.
Other business
Mrs Joab alerts the Board to the overcrowding atTU HLIN102 and asks that when overcrowding occurs, new groups are created.

Presentation of budget indicators by Thierry Bretagnon, Deputy Director of Heritage and Finance.
Following the plenary session of the Faculty Council, the Restricted Council (Colleges A and B) met to validate the composition of the selection committees for the recruitment campaigns for one Associate Professor position (section 31, position 884) and two University Professor positions (section 64-65, position 886; section 67, position 567).
