The UFR Council, chaired by Mr. Hoffmann, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, met on Wednesday, February 7, 2018
The following current issues were discussed:
=> The key dates for the Faculty of Sciences Council elections, as well as those for the election of BIATS staff representatives to the Joint Institutional Committee (CPE), were presented.
=> Mr. Hervé Jourde, Director of DESTEEM, read the two motions passed by his academic department and answered questions regarding them.
=> Mr. Gilles Halbout, President of COMUE LR, and Ms. Charlène Marin, Project Manager, presented the progress of the Campus Plan, along with the tentative schedule and the nature of the upcoming work.

Minutes of the Science Faculty Council Meetings
The minutes of the Science Faculty Council meetings held on November 15, December 13, and December 22, 2017, were approved.
Vote on 2 conventions
– Agreement with the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) regarding the use of the Villa Thuret botanical garden located on the Cap d’Antibes,
– Agreement on the exchange of faculty and students with Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
Update on Teaching Methods
=> Presentation and vote on the 2018–2019 academic calendar for the Faculty of Sciences,
=> Student Plan: Presentation and explanation of the budget requests submitted to the regional education office through the CFVU Vice President.
Miscellaneous Questions
Ms. Joab alerts the Council to the overstaffing observed inTU and requests that, when overstaffing is observed, new groups be created.
Budget Indicators
Presentation of the budget indicators by Mr. Thierry Bretagnon, Deputy Director of Assets and Finance.
Following the Faculty’s plenary meeting, the Select Committee (Colleges A and B) met to approve, respectively, the composition of the selection committees for the recruitment campaigns for one Associate Professor position (section 31, position 884) and two Full Professor positions (sections 64–65, position 886; section 67, position 567)
