Seventh-graders on campus to thank them …
Thanks to their dedication and generosity, students were able to receive food baskets during this unusual time.
Fifth-grade students from ST ROCH Middle School, who had donated items from their drives to student organizations, were welcomed onto campus to have a front-row seat during the final distribution of food baskets to our students for this academic year.
To reward them, we invited them to spend a morning with us so they could help with the collection drive, show them around the campus, and introduce them to chemistry in a different way.
In fact, during the morning, thestudents—divided into three groups—tookpart ina campus tour organizedby the communications department, which included a visit to Building 36—the showcase of our campus—as well as the beautiful relaxation areas for our students and the magnificent paleontology room in the Earth, Water, and Environment Department.
The Chemistry Department organized a workshop to introduce students tochemistry through games and activities, with the aim of inspiring the next generation to pursue studies in the sciences.
Finally, the students were ableto participate in thefooddriveby distributing food to the students who had signed up for it.
Great conversations, a wonderful atmosphere, mutual support, and new discoveries—that’s how we can describe this wonderful morning and how we were able to thank these students.
