Who are the users?


The users are you, the students enrolled in the Faculty of Sciences, from L1 to M2, during the 2023-2024 academic year.

What is the Faculty of Science Council, and what does it do?

The Council of the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier is the body authorized to discuss and propose guidelines relating to financial activities (annual budget, subsidies, etc.) and educational activities (academic calendar, agreements, etc.).

It elects its Director for a term of five years.

Who participates in the Faculty of Science Council?

The Council is composed of 40 voting members:

          8 student representatives and 8 alternates (USAGERS college) elected for 2 years,

          10 University professors and equivalent (category A) elected for four years,

          10 other teacher-researchers, teachers, and similar staff (group B) elected for four years,

          4 representatives of administrative and technical staff (IATSS college) elected for 4 years,

     4 representatives of local authorities (Occitanie-Pyrénées-Méditerranée Regional Council, Hérault Departmental Council, Occitanie Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Montpellier Métropole) appointed for four years by their respective administrations,

          3 external figures in a personal capacity, proposed by the advisors and approved by a vote of the Council. They are elected for a four-year term.

When do the UFR Council meetings take place?

The Council, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, meets monthly.

Why vote on Tuesday, February 6, and Wednesday, February 7, 2024?

It is important to vote because this election will allow you to elect your representatives to this Council.

There will be eight elected representatives and eight alternates to represent you and participate in the life of the Component over the next four years.

They will be there to help and support you throughout your studies at the Faculty.

No need to travel, this vote is paperless: everything can be done from your PC or cell phone! For more information, check your Faculty emails regularly (prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr). Your username, password, and electronic voting instructions will be sent to you very soon.

The Administration of the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier
