Elections - College of USERS of the Faculty of Science

From Tuesday, February 6 - 12 p.m. - to Wednesday, February 7, 2024 - 5 p.m. -

will take place, by electronic vote, the elections of your representatives
to the Conseil d'UFR of the Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier.

Who are the users?

The users are you, the students enrolled in the Faculty of Science,
from L1 to M2, during the 2023-2024 academic year.

What is the Faculty of Science Council and what is its purpose?

The Montpellier Faculty of Science Council is the body empowered to discuss and propose guidelines for financial activities (annual budget, subsidies, etc.) and teaching activities (academic calendar, agreements, etc.).

It elects its Director for a 5-year term.

Who sits on the Faculty of Science Council?

The Board has 40 voting members:

- 8 student representatives and 8 alternates (USERS college) elected for 2 years,

- 10 University Professors (College A) elected for 4 years,

- 10 other professors, teachers and similar staff (College B) elected for 4 years,

- 4 representatives of administrative and technical staff (IATSS college) elected for 4 years,

- 4 representatives of local authorities (Conseil Régional Occitanie - Pyrénées - Méditerranée, Conseil Départemental de l'Hérault, Chambre Régionale de Commerce et d'Industrie de Région Occitanie and Montpellier Métropole) appointed for 4 years by their respective authorities,

- 3 outside personalities, proposed by the members and approved by a vote of the Board. They are elected for 4 years.

When are the UFR Councils held?

The Board, chaired by the Faculty Director, meets monthly.

Why vote on Tuesday, February 06 and Wednesday, February 07, 2024?

It's important to vote because this election will enable you to elect your representatives to this Council.

There will be 8 elected members and 8 substitutes to represent you and take part in the life of the Component over the next 4 years.

They will be there to help and support you throughout your time at the Faculty.

How do you vote?

There's no need to go to the polling station - you can vote from your PC or cell phone! For more information, keep an eye on your Faculty emails (prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr). Your login, password and electronic voting instructions will be sent to you shortly.
