The Hydrocontest:
This is an event organized by the Hydros Foundation: it is the first international student competition focusing on nautical and maritime energy efficiency. The event focuses on technology, sharing, innovation, and research. It raises awareness among future engineers and architects about a common issue: "TRANSPORT MORE, FASTER, WHILE CONSUMING LESS ENERGY." To achieve this, students must design, build, and pilot the most energy-efficient boat possible.
Why Hydrocontest:
The aim is to raise awareness among tomorrow's engineers about the design of efficient nautical technologies that can also be transferred to industry, and to enable the most promising projects to see the light of day and develop in order to improve the environmental performance of maritime transport.
Competition rules:
The competition consists of three separate races: light boat (20 kg load), heavy boat (200 kg load), and endurance race (lasting as long as possible and completing as many laps as possible with a charged battery).
