The UFR Council, chaired by Mr. Hoffmann, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, met on Wednesday, January 10, 2018
The minutes of the Faculty’s special meeting, held on December 1, 2017, were presented to the Assembly. The document did not receive any comments or amendments.
In addition, a council member’s remarks highlighted the difficulties cyclists have faced in accessing the Triolet Campus since the new access points opened.
The following items were on the agenda:
Registering the address of an association
The request for the “Young Naturalist View” association to be based at the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier was voted on and approved by the Council. “Young Naturalist View” intends to undertake scientific and naturalist projects in the fields of biology and the environment.
Education
A progress report on teaching methods has been prepared.
Two main topics were discussed:
– The enrollment capacities for Master’s programs for the 2018–2019 academic year were approved by the Council,
– Expectations for first-year undergraduate students: an institutional working group will be formed shortly.
Following the Faculty’s plenary meeting, the Executive Committee (Colleges A and B) met to approve the composition of the selection committees for the recruitment campaigns for Associate Professors and Full Professors, respectively.
