Newsline from the board meeting of January 10, 2018

The UFR board meeting, chaired by Mr Hoffmann, Director of the Faculty of Science, was held on Wednesday January 10, 2018.

The minutes of the extraordinary Faculty Council, held on December 1, 2017, were presented to the Assembly. There were no comments or amendments to the document.

A councillor also highlighted the difficulties encountered by cyclists accessing the Triolet Campus since the opening of the new entrances.

The following items were on the agenda:

The request by the Young Naturalist View association to be based at the Montpellier Faculty of Science was voted on and approved by the Board. "Young Naturalist View" intends to undertake scientific and naturalist projects in the fields of Biology and the Environment.

A progress report on pedagogy was produced.

Two main topics were discussed:
- The capacity of Master's programs for the 2018-2019 academic year was approved by the Board,
- Expectations for the 1st year Bachelor's degree: an institutional working group will be set up shortly.

Following the plenary session of the Faculty Council, the Restricted Council (Colleges A and B) met to validate the composition of the Selection Committees for the recruitment of Lecturers and University Professors respectively.
