This ceremony is hosted and organized by the university’s mathematics department and the IREM.

This year's Math Olympiad took place on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
The Math Olympiad is open to all 11th-grade students, regardless of their track: at the national and regional levels, the rankings and some of the problems are tailored to each track (science and non-science). Thus, even though not all participants plan to pursue a career in science, this competition gives them an opportunity to practice mathematical reasoning.
The purpose of this contest is to:
- promote mathematics in schools;
- encourage high school students, particularly young women, to pursue careers in science;
- promote scientific and technological culture;
- encourage students to take initiative and develop a passion for research.
