The Council, chaired by Mr Alain Hoffmann, Director of the Faculty of Science, was held on Wednesday May 15, 2019, in the Salle des Actes on the Triolet Campus - University of Montpellier -.
The following items were on the agenda:
Computer donation
The UFR Board unanimously approved the donation of PCs to Ecole primaire Paul Crouzet and Ecole maternelle Jules Ferry in Prades le Lez (34).
Bachelor's and Master's exam regulations - 2019-2020 academic year
The Bachelor's and Master's examination regulations for 2019-2020 were presented to the meeting. There were no changes to last year's document. The examination regulations were unanimously approved by the meeting.
LMD5 - 1st year Bachelor's degree portals
Mr. Frédéric LEMOIGNO, LMD5 Pedagogical Manager, submitted to the Faculty Council proposals for1st-yearBachelor's degree portals, with their L2 outlets, and the gateway options proposed by the LMD5 working group.
The Faculty of Science Council has approved the creation of the following portals:
- Maths and its applications,
- Computer Science,
- Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences,
- Earth, Water and Environmental Sciences,
- Life Sciences - Environment, Health,
- Sciences and Numerics for Life
Calculation rule for distribution of LMD5 hours by teaching department
Isabelle TOURNIER, Deputy Director of Finance, presented the meeting with a proposed rule for the equitable distribution of teaching hours by department, within the framework of the LMD5.
It was pointed out that these hours are earmarked for all departmental teaching activities in all LMD courses (including those run by other departments, but excluding other courses such as PeiP, etc.).
With regard to the annual management of teaching hours, Isabelle Tournier also indicated that the number of hours authorized for each department for the year is equal to the LMD5 hours allocated minus the department's teaching potential.
Training
The UFR Council approved the creation of the"Experimental Techniques in Green Chemistry" University Diploma.
Thierry BRETAGNON reported on the CMI program. Some teaching departments have taken a position against the renewal of CMIs.
Management of teaching services
Mr. Bernard GODELLE, Masters Pedagogical Manager, gave an update on the timetable and procedure for managing teaching services at the Faculty of Science. It was recalled that APOGEE data are the reference data.
