BIP (Summer School) Eco-Evo 2025

The Faculty of Sciences organized its first Blended Intensive Program (BIP), which took place from June 23 to July 2, 2025. Two online sessions also complemented the in-person component. A BIP is a short-term hybrid mobility program under the Erasmus+ program.

We welcomed 25 students from 8 European universities :

  • Trinity College Dublin – Ireland
  • Complutense University of Madrid – Spain
  • Lund University – Sweden
  • University of Bergen – Norway
  • University of Seville – Spain
  • Jagiellonian University in Kraków – Poland
  • Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași – Romania
  • Democritus University of Thrace – Greece

The participating students attended lectures on ecology and evolutionary biology and visited the laboratories of MIVEGEC, AMAP, CEFE, ISEM, and MARBEC/IFREMER.

They also had the opportunity to explore Montpellier and the surrounding area through a variety of fun activities.

The students wrapped up their 10-day intensive training program by presenting their final BIP project: a digital herbarium featuring 25 animal or plant species to be compiled!
