BIP (Summer School) Eco-Evo 2025

The Faculty of Sciences organized its first Blended Intensive Program (BIP), which took place from June 23 to July 2, 2025. Two online sessions also complemented the in-person mobility component. A BIP is a short-term hybrid mobility program under the Erasmus+ program.

We welcomed 25 students from 8 European universities :

  • Trinity College, Dublin – Ireland
  • Complutense University of Madrid – Spain
  • Lund University – Sweden
  • University of Bergen – Norway
  • University of Seville – Spain
  • Jagiellonian University in Krakow – Poland
  • Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași – Romania
  • Democritus University of Thrace – Greece

Participating students attended lectures on ecology and evolutionary biology and toured the laboratories at MIVEGEC, AMAP, CEFE, ISEM, and MARBEC/IFREMER.

They also had the opportunity to explore Montpellier and the surrounding area through fun activities.

The students wrapped up these 10 days of intensive training by presenting their BIP capstone project: a digital herbarium of 25 animal or plant species to be compiled!
