Activating the Student/Faculty IT Account

For students

=> Your IT account is activated automatically.

=> Once you have obtained your Scol’PASS, simply verify your account on the digital campus platform (https://ent.umontpellier.fr/): from the login screen, follow the instructions under the “First login” link:
https://cas.umontpellier.fr/cas/login…

=> Use your institutional credentials in the format prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr to log in to computers (Linux or Windows).

=> The comptefds tool (https://comptefds.umontpellier.fr/) allows you to run a self-diagnostic check on your Linux account.

=> The SIF website is now the SA.P.I.ENS portal (https://sapiens.umontpellier.fr/), which offers new features:
– List of software by room,
– List of rooms for a specific software (check software availability, etc.),
– Internal documentation is available. Additional information and documentation on the learning environments are available on Moodle (https://moodle.umontpellier.fr/enrol/index.php?id=8975).

=> The entire educational infrastructure has been upgraded. Once you log in to a computer, you will find all your data—
, files, lab assignments, scripts, etc.—in your profile.
– Any databases from previous years (MySQL, PostgreSQL) have been restored on the new servers. Login credentials will be provided at a later date.

=> Use the Service Center (https://centre-de-services.umontpellier.fr/ServiceDesk.Work…) to report any incidents or submit requests regarding the use of classrooms. Please note that requests for software installation must be initiated by faculty members.

For teachers

As the new academic year begins, the digital environments at the Faculty of Sciences are evolving.
As discussed at our meeting on June 13, 2019, here are the points to keep in mind for your classes in the computer labs:

=> You must now use your institutional credentials (prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr or prenom.nom@umontpellier.fr) to log in to computer labs (Linux or Windows).
o Student account activation is directly linked to the validation of their institutional account via the digital workspace (ENT).
o The comptefds tool allows you to run a self-diagnostic check on your Linux account.

=> The entire educational infrastructure has been updated: data from previous years has been retained.

=> The SIF website has been replaced by the SA.P.I.ENS portal, which offers new features:
o Detailed information on rooms and workstations
o Lists of software by room
o List of rooms for a specific software program (check software availability)
o Internal documentation is available. Additional information and documentation on learning environments is available on Moodle.
Use the Service Center to submit all requests (software installation or incident reports) regarding the use of computer labs, workstations, or IT services managed by the DSIN.
