Activating your Student/Teacher IT account
For students
=> Your computer account is activated automatically.
After obtaining your Scol'PASS, simply validate your account on the ENT (https://ent.umontpellier.fr/): from the authentication screen, follow the procedure behind the "1st connection" link:

=> Use institutional credentials in the form prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr to authenticate on workstations (Linux or Windows).
=> The comptefds tool (https://comptefds.umontpellier.fr/) allows you to self-diagnose your Linux account.
The SIF website is becoming the SA.P.I.ENS portal (https://sapiens.umontpellier.fr/), which will offer you new features:
– Lists of software by room,
– List of rooms for a specific software program (search for software availability, etc.)
– Internal documentation is available. Additional information/documentation on educational environments is available on Moodle (https://moodle.umontpellier.fr/enrol/index.php?id=8975).
=> The entire educational infrastructure has been upgraded. Once you have logged in on a machine, you will find all your data:
– Files, TP, Script, etc. in your profile.
– Any databases from previous years (Mysql, Postgresql) have been restored on the new servers. Login details will be provided at a later date.
=> Use the Service Center (https://centre-de-services.umontpellier.fr/ServiceDesk.Work…) to report any incidents or make requests regarding the use of rooms. Please note that requests for software installation are made at the initiative of teachers.
For teachers
As the new academic year begins, the digital environments of the Faculty of Science are evolving.
As presented at our meeting on June 13, 2019, here are the elements to take into consideration for your teaching in computer rooms:
=> You must now use your institutional login details (prenom.nom@etu.umontpellier.fr or prenom.nom@umontpellier.fr) to log in to the computer rooms (Linux or Windows).
o Student accounts are activated once their institutional account has been validated via the digital workspace.
o The comptefds tool allows you to self-diagnose your Linux account.
=> The entire educational infrastructure has been upgraded: data from previous years has been retained.
The SIF website has become the SA.P.I.ENS portal, offering new features:
o Detailed information on rooms and workstations
o Lists of software by room
o List of rooms for a particular software program (search for software availability)
o Internal documentation is available. Additional information/documentation on teaching environments is available on Moodle.
Use the Service Center to make any requests (software installation or incident reports) concerning the use of rooms, workstations, or IT services managed by the DSIN.
