Codige Award: Award for the best internship
IESF-OM/CODIGE Award: a brief history and details...
With the exception of Paris, regional delegations of engineers and scientists (formerly URIS) did not award prizes.
In 1986, the Languedoc-Roussillon delegation (URIS-LR) decided to award the prize for the best internship report to an "engineering student." It is clear that university scientists were not included. The inclusion of the latter proved to be tentative, for many reasons. Things normalized with the creation of Master's degrees, "Bac+5" diplomas, common to engineers.
The Conference of Directors of Grandes Ecoles (CODIGE) gradually became involved in the award. It formalized its participation with an initial agreement in 2009. The award has now become, within the framework of the Engineers and Scientists of France Occitanie Méditerranée, IESF-OM/CODIGE. It is interesting to note that it remains virtually unique in France in this form (with the exception of Paris).
The selection process remains unchanged: the best end-of-study internship reports from engineering students and university master's students are submitted by the heads of institutions, at the request of IESF-OM, and then a jury of experts from various fields and backgrounds selects between one and three reports to be awarded, depending on the circumstances.
To participate, simply contact the relevant educational authorities (school principals, university department heads, etc.) to have your application for the Prize validated.
