Prix Codige: Award for best internship

IESF-OM/CODIGE Prize - a little history and terms ...

With the exception of Paris, the regional delegations of engineers and scientists (formerly URIS) did not award any prizes.

In 1986, the Languedoc-Roussillon delegation (URIS-LR) decided to award the prize for the best internship report to a "student engineer". Clearly, university scientists were not included. For a number of reasons, the inclusion of academic scientists proved timid. Things returned to normal with the creation of Master's degrees, "Bac+5" diplomas shared with engineers.

The Conférence des Directeurs de Grandes Ecoles (CODIGE) has gradually become associated with the prize. It formalized its participation with an initial agreement in 2009. As part of Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France Occitanie Méditerranée, the award has now become IESF-OM/CODIGE. Curiously, it remains virtually unique in France in this form (with the exception of Paris).

The selection process remains unchanged: the best end-of-study internship report(s) from engineering students and university masters students are submitted by the school heads, at IESF-OM's request, and a jury of experts from a wide range of backgrounds then selects 1 to 3 reports to award, depending on the circumstances.

To take part, simply contact the people in charge of teaching (school directors, university department heads, etc.), to have your application for the Prize validated.
