Proud of Our Students: FOOD DISTRIBUTION: STUDENTS SHOW SOLIDARITY

In light of the current health crisis and in response to students’ hardships, the Faculty of Sciences and its student associations have organized a food basket distribution program on the Triolet campus, which has resulted in the distribution of 800 food baskets this year.

These food basketscontain non-perishable items (pasta, rice, canned goods, etc.) as well as hygiene and cleaning supplies. The distribution was handled by organizations affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences.

Students had the opportunity to meet other student volunteers who were there to listen to them and could refer them to the university’s medical and social services if necessary.

There will be new distributions. In fact, the Faculty’s student organizations are seeking new partners in order to apply for grants and donations to supplement the grant awarded by the FdS and thus ensure the sustainability of the initiative.

The organizations and partners currently participating in this initiative arethe Montpellier Biology Association, the Montpellier Science Student Union, HumaniSciences, Géant Casino Odysseum, the Montpellier Humanitarian Association, the Montpellier Free Grocery Store, and the Lions Club.
