Science Festival 2022: An Edition Focused on Climate Change
The Fête de la Science, a national event that has become a must-attend, takes place this year from October 7 to 17 in metropolitan France. It offers people of all ages an opportunity to explore science and the work of researchers, meet scientists, share knowledge, and reflect on the major challenges of our century. This year’s edition is centered on the theme of climate change.
After a summer that could become the norm in a few years—with extremely high temperatures, a drought causing water shortages, and massive wildfires—the effects of climate change are increasingly being felt in our daily lives. Awareness is high, and many scientists are getting involved in this year’s Science Festival.
For the sixth year in a row, the University of Montpellier is coordinating the event throughout the Hérault department. This year’s program features more than a hundred free events open to everyone.
