November 15, 16, and 17, 2022: Machine Learning for Life Sciences

The Dean of the Faculty of Sciences is organizing this conference in collaboration with François Rousset (ISEM, University of Montpellier / CNRS / IRD / EPHE), Laurent Journot (IGF, CNRS, INSERM, University of Montpellier), Joseph Salmon (University of Montpellier, IUF), Claudia Restrepo-Ortiz (University of Montpellier, KIM Data & Life Sciences), and Charles-Elie Rabier (University of Montpellier, KIM Data & Life Sciences) to organize this conference with the aim of connecting researchers and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations in the fields of big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as they relate to the life sciences.

The past decade has seen an unprecedented explosion of data related to health, the environment, and agriculture. This has had a tremendous impact on the development of these fields. Understanding this information is no easy task. Not only are there practical challenges associated with storing and managing these massive datasets, but there are also issues related to analyzing and interpreting the results obtained.
