This event is organized by the Salon de l’Écologie (SdE) association, with sponsorship from the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB); in collaboration with the Occitanie Region, the Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Agency, the City of Montpellier and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, the Professional Union of Ecological Engineering (UPGE), and the University of Montpellier; and with the support of numerous partners. The fair is hosting the second Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Conference, which this year is focused on the theme of “living soils,” as well as the Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Agency Forum.
Annual gathering of professionals in the fields of ecology and biodiversity
AdNatura brings together, connects, and showcases all stakeholders in France’s professional ecology and biodiversity sector through a Professionals’ Forum featuring exhibits, conferences, roundtables, workshops, business meetings, and job-matching events.Engineers, technicians, researchers, and managers: professionals from all backgrounds will come together for this event, which will bring together all organizations and stakeholders committed to the ecological transition and biodiversity conservation—both private and public (companies, associations, public institutions, local governments, intermunicipal bodies, government agencies, etc.).Beyond a shared heritage to be preserved and a promising professional field, biodiversity is the source of sustainable innovations needed to drive and succeed in the ecological transition that will lead us to sustainable human development. To illustrate this, each year, AdNatura will highlight a timely and forward-looking theme through its conferences, workshops, and roundtables.
For the 2022 edition, “living soils” will be the central theme of the event.
A central issue in European policy—from the adoption of the European Parliament’s resolution of April 28, 2021, on its “Farm to Fork” strategy—the preservation, protection, and restoration of soils represent a challenge for all stakeholders in France’s professional ecology and biodiversity sector. Net Zero Land-Take, preserving greenhouse gas sequestration and sustainable food production functions, conserving soil’s capacity to support ecosystems, restoring degraded soils, and studying soil structure and function—all of these pressing, highly topical issues that are crucial to our shared future are explored in the rich program of conferences and roundtables at the AdNatura Trade Show.
