What is the BIA?
It is a diploma, issued by the French Ministry of Education, which validates an initial aeronautical culture. The BIA is run by the General Inspectorate for Engineering Science and Technology, in coordination with the French Civil Aviation Authority and the National Council of Aeronautical and Sports Federations.
This diploma has existed since 1968, and its long and prestigious history demonstrates its value and interest. It is a bridge between passion and reason, knowledge and practice, professional and amateur, civilian and military. It is the key to entry into aeronautical schools.
