March 12, 2024 – 1st BIO’OCC Professional Development Day

The Bio’Occ project is led by the University of Toulouse 3 (UT3), with the University of Montpellier (UM) serving as a partner.
This project, funded by the government as part of the France 2030 recovery plan, aims to attract the “leaders of tomorrow” and develop training programs in the fields of biotherapy and bioproduction, primarily in the Occitanie region.
More specifically, one of the objectives is to address the needs of businesses, particularly the shortage of technicians and senior technicians. On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the first educational workshop organized by the University of Montpellier will take place on the Triolet campus. This event, closed to the public, will bring together training managers and representatives from the Toulouse and Montpellier school districts, as well as the regional government.
After a morning of discussions on current educational initiatives and an afternoon of tours of the technical facilities, the event concluded with a roundtable discussion on future initiatives.
