February 4, 2025: Academic Day of the Collège des sociétés Savantes Congress - Science / responsibility / commitment.

The Collège's annual congress is a privileged moment to establish informal contacts, to take advantage of our diversity and to validate the Collège's strategic orientations.

It consists of a half-day reserved for official representatives of Collège members (Monday afternoon, February 3, Université Paul-Valéry-Montpellier, campus Saint-Charles, Avenue Saint Charles) and an academic day (Tuesday, February 4, Université de Montpellier, Amphithéatre d'anatomie, historic building of the faculty of medicine, Rue de l'école de médecine; open to the whole academic community on registration) on a theme that cuts across the academic community, this year: "Science, responsibility and commitment: what strategies to count in public action?".

As part of this event, Valérie Masson-Delmotte, climatologist, director of research at CEA, co-chair of IPCC group n°1 from 2015 to 2023, and member of the French High Council for Climate, will give a public lecture entitled: "Acting in the face of climate change, what transformations in science-society interactions?" This conference will take place on February 4, 2025 at 6:30pm, in the Salle Pétrarque, 2 place Pétrarque, 34000 Montpellier.
