February 4, 2025: Academic Day of the Congress of the College of Learned Societies – Science / Responsibility / Engagement.
The College’s annual conference is a unique opportunity to network informally, to capitalize on our diversity, and to endorse the College’s strategic directions.
It consists of a half-day session reserved for official representatives of the College’s members (Monday, February 3, afternoon, Paul-Valéry-Montpellier University, Saint-Charles Campus, Avenue Saint-Charles) and an academic day (Tuesday, February 4, University of Montpellier, Anatomy Amphitheater, historic building of the Faculty of Medicine, Rue de l’École de Médecine; open to the entire academic community upon registration) focusing on a theme relevant to the academic community, this year: “Science, Responsibility, and Engagement: What Strategies for Making an Impact in Public Policy?”
As part of this event, Valérie Masson-Delmotte, a climatologist, research director at the CEA, co-chair of IPCC Working Group I from 2015 to 2023, and member of the High Council for Climate, will give a public lecture titled: “Taking Action on Climate Change: How Are Science-Society Interactions Changing?” " This lecture will take place on February 4, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in the Salle Pétrarque, 2 Place Pétrarque, 34000 Montpellier.
