Introductory Aviation Certificate: FdS students are taking flight!

On Sunday, September 14, FdS students who received a grade of “A” on their BIA certification had the opportunity to take part in an introductory flight at the Hérault AeroClub.

An unforgettable experience for students.

Thank you to Bruno Conway, Aviation and Space Program Coordinator for the Montpellier Academy, and Philippe Munch, University Professor, Director of the IRES Department at the Faculty of Sciences, and Program Coordinator for School Education Relations, for organizing this degree program at the Faculty of Sciences.

We're proud of our students!

What is the BIA?

This is a certificate issued by the Ministry of National Education that certifies basic knowledge of aviation. The BIA is administered by the General Inspectorate of Engineering Sciences and Technology in coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the National Council of Aeronautical and Sports Federations.

This degree has been in existence since 1968; its long and distinguished history attests to its value and significance. It serves as a bridge between passion and reason, theory and practice, professionals and amateurs, and the civilian and military sectors. It facilitates admission to aviation schools.
