November 6, 2025: Special event with Jakuta Alikavazovic – France Culture Student Novel Prize

As part of the 2025 literary season and the France Culture Student Novel Prize, Jean-Michel MARIN, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences at Montpellier, and Sonia CHALBI, Program Coordinator for Arts,Culture, and Sciences, are pleased to announce the special visit of author Jakuta ALIKAVAZOVIC for a meeting with students and staff on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall 36.01.
A novelist, translator, and columnist, Jakuta ALIKAVAZOVIC is a leading voice in contemporary literature. Winner of the Prix Goncourt for a debut novel for *Corps volatils* and the *Le Monde* Literary Season Award for *L’avancée de la nuit*, she was also a finalist for the Prix Médicis. This year, she is in the running for the Prix Femina and the Prix Renaudot for her latest work, *Au grand jamais*.
A longtime supporter of the Comédie du Livre, which she has graced with her presence on several occasions, and a guest at MOCO la Panacée in 2024 for the exhibition *Entre les lignes: Art and Literature*, she will be joining us this time to engage in a conversation with students and the public about her latest book , *Au grand jamais*, and her relationship with writing.
There will be a Q&A session for questions from the audience at the end of the event.
The Fiers de Lettres bookstore will be on hand to offer books related to previous selections for the France Culture Student Novel Prize.
