A mathematician and a mechanical engineer from the FDS at Kyoto University for one year
Sandrine Bardet, assistant professor at LMGC, is spending a year at the Biomaterials Design Laboratory of Kyoto University's Faculty of Agriculture to study the physical and mechanical properties of ancient wood from French and Japanese architectural heritage. She is on a CNRS delegation, funded by the UM's EXPLORE program, LMGC, and GDR Sciences du Bois.
Jérémie Brieussel, assistant professor at IMAG, is spending a year at the Department of Mathematics at Kyoto University as part of a CNRS delegation and a JSPS Invitational Fellowship. His work focuses on the links between graph geometry and their exploration through stochastic processes.
Proud of our teachers and our Faculty's international representation!
Both are embarking on this family adventure thanks to the LFIK, the Lycée Français International de Kyoto, which provides education for students from kindergarten to high school.
