FDS mathematician and mechanic at Kyoto University for 1 year

Sandrine Bardet, MCF at the LMGC, is spending 1 year at the Biomaterials Design Laboratory of Kyoto University's Faculty of Agriculture, studying the physical and mechanical properties of old wood from French and Japanese buildings. She is a CNRS delegate, financed by the UM's EXPLORE program, the LMGC and the GDR Sciences du Bois.

Jérémie Brieussel, MCF at IMAG, is spending a year at Kyoto University's Mathematics Department, as part of a CNRS delegation and a JSPS Invitational Fellowship. His work focuses on the links between the geometry of graphs and their exploration by stochastic processes.

Proud of our teachers and of our Faculty's representation on the international stage!

The 2 of them are making this adventure a family affair, thanks to LFIK, the Lycée Français International de Kyoto, which provides schooling for students from kindergarten to the end of secondary school.
