A mathematician and a mechanical engineer from the FDS are spending a year at Kyoto University

Sandrine Bardet, an assistant professor at the LMGC, is spending a year at the Biomaterials Design Laboratory in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kyoto University to study the physical and mechanical properties of ancient wood from French and Japanese architectural heritage. She is on a CNRS assignment, funded by the University of Marseille’s EXPLORE program, the LMGC, and the GDR Sciences du Bois.

Jérémie Brieussel, an assistant professor at IMAG, is spending a year at the Department of Mathematics at Kyoto University as part of a CNRS exchange program and a JSPS Invitational Fellowship. His research focuses on the connections between graph theory and the exploration of graphs through stochastic processes.

We are proud of our faculty members and of how our school is represented internationally!

Both of them are embarking on this family adventure thanks to the LFIK, the Lycée Français International de Kyoto, which provides education for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
