Event for professionals, students, and the general public: “How Ignorance Is Created and How to Combat Misinformation,” drawing, among other things, on the practice of scientific documentary filmmaking.

Program

• 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: (Interactive) lecture “What Is Scientific Evidence?”
By Frédéric FEU (CIST), as part of the regional project “Science or Fake News?”
(also open to high school students).

• 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM: ARTE CAMPUS discussion and master class on the documentary “ The Factory of Ignorance ”
With Franck CUVEILLIER, co-director, scientists, communications officers from research organizations, and other professionals grappling with the growing issue of misinformation (including Sophie DELLA MUSSIA, head of the press office and cultural/scientific outreach liaison, CIRAD Communications Department / Pierrick LABBÉ, University Professor, Montpellier Institute of Evolutionary Sciences (ISEM)).
