Self-drive tour day

On November 26, 2025, Tour Auto Day was held at Lycée Joffre in Montpellier!

This event is part of the "Year of Engineering," an initiative endorsed by the CNRS and the Ministry of Higher Education to raise awareness among young people (middle school, high school, and preparatory classes) about careers in the automotive industry.

Engineering brings together scientific and technological knowledge to design and produce systems that meet society’s needs. It also offers meaningful jobs for those who want to contribute to the energy transition, climate action, and a decarbonized French industrial sector.

To kick things off, the day begins with a welcome coffee break followed by a briefing for exhibitors, after which groups of students take turns visiting the stands throughout the morning: first the 9th-grade classes, then the BTS, STI2D, NSI, and SI programs. After lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to the various CPGE classes, who visit the stands in turn. The event concludes in the late afternoon, with a short 10-minute presentation before each visit.

One highlight of the event was the booth showcasing an electric go-kart test bench, which ran all day long, with the go-kart on display outside and being driven by the team!
