Voting Procedures

Voting will take place in person on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in Building 36 (rooms 409–412).

Role and Responsibilities of the UFR Council

The UFR Council is the deliberative body of the Faculty of Sciences. It is responsible for reviewing, discussing, and proposing policies regarding the faculty’s educational, scientific, administrative, and financial activities (budget, academic calendar, internal regulations, agreements, etc.).

Composition of the UFR Council

The Council consists of 40 voting members:

3 external individuals serving in a personal capacity, nominated by the Council members and approved by a Council vote. They are elected for a four-year term.

Group A: 10 university professors and equivalent faculty members, elected for a four-year term,

College B: 10 other faculty members, lecturers, and equivalent staff, elected for a four-year term,

BIATS Board: 4 representatives of administrative and technical staff, elected for a 4-year term,

Student Council: 8 student representatives and 8 alternates, elected for a two-year term,

External figures:

  • 5 representatives from local authorities (the Occitanie–Pyrénées–Méditerranée Regional Council, the Hérault Departmental Council, the Occitanie Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Occitanie Regional Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, and Montpellier Métropole) appointed for a four-year term by their respective governing bodies,
