Science Bar 2026

The Science Bar has become one of Montpellier’s flagship events for scientific culture, offering a monthly participatory public discussion on all aspects of science from January through June. Throughout the season, scientists are invited to engage in a dialogue where their knowledge and practices are not only shared but also open to discussion.

The season is co-produced by the University of Montpellier’s scientific outreach departments and its partners: INRAE Occitanie-Montpellier, IRD, Inserm, and the Faculty of Sciences at Montpellier.

Human connections, interdisciplinary exchanges, cultural clashes, the sharing of perspectives… Science and technology are increasingly present in our daily lives; discussing them is a democratic act, and there’s no better place than a bar to start the conversation.
