Screening of the documentary *Picture a Scientist* – February 11, 2026

To markFebruary 11—International Day of Women and Girls in Science—the Femmes et Sciences association, the Charles Coulomb Laboratory, Polytech Montpellier, and the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Montpellier are hosting ascreening of the documentary*Picture a Scientist*(original version with French subtitles).

This film gives a voice to female researchers and sheds light on themechanisms of sexism and gender inequality in academia, as well as their impact on scientific careers. Through powerful testimonials and insightful analysis,*Picture a Scientist*invites us to reflect collectively on our practices, our work environments, and the possible avenues for action toward more inclusive research.

The one-hour screening will be followed by adiscussion session, during which we will share perspectives, questions, and reflections on these issues that affect our entire community, regardless of our status or field of study.

The event is open to the entire scientific community in Montpellier (students and staff)
