Screening of the documentary Picture a Scientist – February 11, 2026

OnFebruary 11—International Day of Women and Girls in Science—the association Femmes et Sciences, the Charles Coulomb Laboratory, Polytech Montpellier, and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier are organizing ascreening of the documentaryPicture a Scientist(original version, with French subtitles).

This film gives a voice to female researchers and highlights themechanisms of sexism and gender inequality in academia, as well as their effects on scientific careers. Through powerful testimonials and insightful analysis,Picture a Scientistinvites us to collectively reflect on our practices, our working environments, and possible levers for action to make research more inclusive.

The one-hour screening will be followed by adiscussion session, providing an opportunity to share views, questions, and thoughts on these issues that affect our entire community, regardless of our status or discipline.

The event is open to the entire scientific community in Montpellier (students and staff).
