Give them to the UM

At the University of Montpellier, International Women’s Day lasts a whole month, from March 1 to 31! For its 7th edition, “Donner des Elles à l’UM” invites you to join us in advancing gender equality through initiatives focused this year on women’s bodies.

As is the case every year, March marks the return of gender equality initiatives at UM. Continuing in the same spirit of openness—balancing lightheartedness with seriousness and gravity—we will explore the female body in the professional, personal, and even political spheres. Highlights include a talk by Karen Messing, a specialist in women’s health in the workplace, and a screening of “L’événement,” Audrey Diwan’s powerful film about a young student’s abortion in the 1960s.

Also on the program this year: short films, street art, contemporary dance, a photo exhibition, music, and a selection of materials at the university library.
