BioTrace Congress

The BIOTRACE association (law 1901), created in November 2005, is run by students in the Master 2 Biology/Agrosciences, DTEC-Bio course "Diagnosis and Traceability of Chemical and Biological Environments" at the Faculty of Science, University of Montpellier. It currently has 39 active members, divided between 1st and 2nd year Master students. 

The BIOTRACE association represents and promotes the DTEC-Bio training program to students and professionals, as well as raising awareness of biotechnological advances among a wider public through anannual scientific congress.

The 14thedition of this annual event will be held this year onThursday,February 7, 2019, from8:30amto 5pm atthe Serge Peytavin amphitheater of the Ecole Polytechnique de Montpellier on the theme:

" Biotechnologies: from innovation to devices for health and the environment ".

By bringing together scientific researchers and engineers to discuss topical scientific issues in the field of biotechnology, the congress provides a forum for discussion and reflection on a technological and scientific subject, making it accessible to the general public.

On the program:

  • Meeting with professionals from the public and private sectors
  • Lectures by researchers and industrialists at the cutting edge of technology in their fields
  • A poster presentation of innovative projects carried out by Dtec-Bio Master students

The stakes of such an event also lie in the professional integration of association members and the enhancement of DTEC-Bio training by enabling students to acquire the skills needed to organize and manage projects.
