BioTrace Conference
The BIOTRACE association (under the French Law of 1901), founded in November 2005, is led by students in the Master’s 2 program in Biology/Agrosciences, specializing in DTEC-Bio (“Diagnosis and Traceability of Chemical and Biological Environments”) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier. It currently has 39 active members, comprising first- and second-year Master’s students.
The BIOTRACE association promotes the DTEC-Bio program to students and professionals, and also raises awareness among a broader audience about advances in biotechnology through the organizationof an annual scientific conference.

The14th editionof this annual event will be held this yearon Thursday, February 7, 2019,from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. inthe Serge Peytavin Auditorium at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montpellier, with the theme:
“Biotechnology: From Innovation to Solutions for Health and the Environment.”
By bringing together researchers and scientific engineers to discuss current scientific topics in the field of biotechnology, this conference facilitates discussion and reflection on technological and scientific issues, making them accessible to the general public.
On the agenda:
- Meeting with professionals from the public and private sectors
- Presentations by researchers and industry professionals at the cutting edge of technology in their fields
- A presentation of posters showcasing innovative projects created by students in the Dtec-Bio Master's program
The goals of such an event also include promoting the professional integration of the association’s members and highlighting the value of the DTEC-Bio program by enabling students to acquire the skills needed to organize and manage projects.
