Presentation of the Mechanics training offer

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEGREE

The Mechanical Engineering degree provides students with scientific engineering tools and the ability to solve technological and scientific problems.

It develops theoretical knowledge of physical and mechanical phenomena, and familiarizes students with the industrial environment.

The quality of our training courses enables our best students to enter engineering schools if they wish.

For the start of the 2021 academic year, we are offering two Mechanical Engineering degree courses:

STM (Mechanical Science and Technology) :

The specificity of the STM course is to train students to design and build machines, equipment and structures. They master modern CAD models and tools. This course enables students to enter certain engineering schools on the basis of their qualifications.

CUPGE Méca (Classe Universitaire Préparatoire aux Grandes Écoles - Mécanique) :

The specificity of the CUPGE Méca course lies in its bi-disciplinary nature (Mathematics and Mechanics). This dual competence gives students the scientific tools they need to model and solve mechanical problems.

This course opens up the possibility of entering engineering schools by competitive examination at the end of L2 or L3.

MASTER OF MECHANICS

At the start of the 2021 academic year, we will be opening three Mechanics Master's courses:

CDPI (Industrial Product Design and Development) :

Trains students for careers as mechanical business managers, technical sales engineers, design office managers and business start-ups. The objectives in terms of skills acquired are project management and management, technological and mechanical design, structural calculation and mastery of associated digital tools, industrial design and creation, industrial product development and innovation.

CSIM (Calculations and Simulations in Mechanical Engineering) :

Trains students for careers in mechanical engineering research, with a view to joining the academic or industrial world. Students will benefit from courses designed to strengthen their theoretical and numerical skills, and prepare them to work in R&D centers specializing in structural calculations and numerical simulations.

BIOMECA (Biomechanics) :

The aim of this pathway is to train senior R&D managers in the field of biomechanics, in particular for engineering and health technology companies (e.g. orthopedics, disability care, rehabilitation centers with movement analysis rooms, etc.), but also for the transport (e.g. user protection, ergonomics, etc.) and sports (sports performance (data scientist), etc.) sectors, as well as for academic and hospital research.

Double diplomas

Three double degrees are also offered to our Master of Mechanics students:

Double degree in Civil Engineering with IMT Alès

In collaboration with the Institut Mines Télécom (IMT) in Alès, students in the CSMI Master's program can obtain additional training in civil engineering and the title of engineer.

Double Diploma in Industrial Product Management with IAE Montpellier

Offered to students in the CDPI and CSIM courses, this hybridization of skills with the IAE is a clear response to employer needs. In a globalized, increasingly complex economy, companies need managers who can go beyond their technical knowledge to manage cross-functional projects and have a global vision of the company that is sometimes lacking.

Double Master of Engineering degree with Chang Mai University in Thailand

An open door between Europe and Asia, this double degree, combined with the CSIM program, is an extraordinary opportunity to develop your network. You'll benefit from this experience not only to strengthen your engineering skills, but also to discover a different culture and learning models.
