Presentation of the Chemistry Department's training offer

The Chemistry Department offers a wide range of courses from bachelor's to master's degrees.

At bachelor level, the first year is pooled in the PCSI (Physics - Chemistry and Engineering Sciences) portal.

In L2, two pathways are offered: the generalist pathway and a specific pathway called PréPAC (number of places available limited to 20 students). In L3, three pathways are available: SCM, SCV and prépaDNO, leading to the validation of a bachelor's degree in chemistry.

At the same time, the chemistry department offers a professional degree, ProPAC(https://lpropac.edu.umontpellier.fr/), which provides access to the professions of senior technician, assistant-engineer in the perfumery, cosmetics and aromatic food sectors.

The master's degree in chemistry offers a multi-disciplinary training program designed to provide skills in the latest developments in the design, synthesis, formulation and advanced characterization of materials, biomaterials and biomolecules, as well as flavors, fragrances and cosmetics.

Seven courses are offered, two of which are open to sandwich courses and dual degrees with the IAE. Two other courses are available in M2, in three different orientations. For further information, visit the Chemistry Master's website(https://master-chimie.edu.umontpellier.fr/)

The chemistry department is also involved in the physics-chemistry bachelor's degree and the MEEF master's degree, training students to become secondary school teachers, as well as in the energy master's degree.
