Our Students Set Out to Conquer the West: Heading to MIT

The iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) competition is an international synthetic biology competition organized by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) that has been held annually since 2003. This competition challenges teams of students from around the world to push the boundaries of biologysummary. These teams are multidisciplinary and work closely with other fields to develop an innovative product.

340 teams from around the world are participating, including 9 from Franceand 2 from Occitanie(Montpellier and Toulouse)

And this year,Montpellier is participating in the iGEM competition for the first time.
