A degree at the Faculty of Science

The journey of a diploma: the awarding of a diploma is not an easy task!

You've just completed your studies and are looking forward to finally holding your diploma in your hands, the culmination of all your hard work throughout university.

We'll explain why you need to wait a few months after graduation to get your diploma.

Once the minutes of the session 2 diploma juries have been validated, generally between July and mid-October, your future diploma is checked and, if necessary, corrected by the Diploma Department (regulatory checks, civil status, etc.) before publication.

Your diploma is then recorded in a tracking database to ensure total traceability, before being forwarded for verification and signature:

- The President's Office of the University of Montpellier
- Partner institutions for co-accredited courses (Montpellier SupAgro, AgroParisTech, Université Paul-Valéry, etc.)
- The Montpellier School Board

If an anomaly is detected during these various control phases, the diploma will have to be registered as an anomaly and re-issued to undergo all the control phases again.

All of these checks, before signature by the President of the University of Montpellier, the heads of any partner establishments, and the Recteur d'Académie, take around 4 to 6 months. This may seem like a long time, but it guarantees that you will receive a quality diploma.

So thank you for your patience!
