Prefectural Order: Mask Requirement

Prefectural OrderDear students of the Faculty of SciencesThis message is intended for everyone who needs to visit the University of Montpellier campus.Please find attached Prefectural Order No. 2020.01.977 requiring the wearing of masks on the University of Montpellier’s Hérault campuses. This order will be published today in the Prefecture’s official gazette and will take effect on Monday, July 31.As you will see, Article 1 of this order states that “from Monday, August 31, 2020, through Sunday, October 11, inclusive, with the exception of residential premises, the wearing of a mask is mandatory for all persons when entering or remaining within the grounds of the University of Montpellier’s sites, whether in enclosed or open spaces.”I thank you for taking these provisions into account and for ensuring they are widely shared with those you know who may not have access to their mail or who do not yet have an email address.We are counting on your cooperation to ensure these guidelines are fully followed and wish you a successful start to the new academic year.Sincerely, the Faculty of Sciences Administration Team
