Exhibition
"Spotlight on (in)visible biodiversity"

Led by Frédérique Carcaillet (UMR MARBEC), lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier and museologist. This project is part of the NaturCom Chair of the UM Foundation. This exhibition for the general public will feature three main sub-themes that can be displayed together or separately.

Like an inventory, the first sub-theme of the exhibition invites visitors to discover species that are part of hidden biodiversity: species buried in the ground, nocturnal species, microscopic species, species that live in remote environments, etc. The second sub-theme will focus on biodiversity inventories (protocols, tools, programs, and expeditions), and the third will focus more on biases related to biodiversity, including species representation biases, perception biases, and taxonomic biases.
