November 27–December 1: The Science Film Festival – Sud de Sciences
Sud de Sciences is a science film festival that offers the general public a unique opportunity to watch feature-length science films, followed by discussions with researchers.
The SUD DE SCIENCES festival is rooted in the local research community, which is both rich and diverse, reflecting the 6,000 researchers in Montpellier’s scientific community.
This free event allows the public to watch exceptional science films on current research topics that address societal issues, focusing on the themes promoted by the I-SITE program of excellence, which brings together researchers from the region to tackle three major challenges: Feed, Care, and Protect.

The School of Science is hosting a film screening and organizing a professional forum on the topic of Artificial Intelligence

Three scenes:
- 1:00–1:30 p.m. Introduction to the afternoon session and the speakers
- 1:30–2:30 p.m. Screening of excerpts from a documentary and discussion with experts in the field / Theme 1
- 2:35–3:35 p.m. Workshop / Theme 2 (including a screening of up to 20 minutes)
- 3:35–3:50 p.m. Social break (exhibition)
- 3:55–4:55 p.m. Workshop / Theme 3 (including a screening of up to 20 minutes)
- 5:00–5:30 p.m. Conclusion (exhibition)
Each of the three stages is organized as follows:
- Presentation of film clips and themes by students or guest speakers;
- Screening;
- Group discussion on the topic among the invited professionals, students, and the audience.
A student award is presented by young people who have committed to watching all the films selected for general audiences at the FESTIVAL SUD DE SCIENCES.
