An extraordinary Council, chaired by Mr Alain Hoffmann, Director of the Faculty of Science, was held on Friday, October 26, 2018, in the Salle des Actes on the Triolet Campus - University of Montpellier -.
The single agenda was as follows: proposed restructuring of the management team of the Montpellier Faculty of Science.
=> Initially, the Board members gave a favorable opinion on theend of the terms of office of the Faculty's Assistant Directors:
- Mr Adam Ahmed ALI, Assistant Director in charge of Apprenticeship Development and Own Resources,
- Mr. Thierry BRETAGNON, Deputy Director for Heritage and Finance,
- Geneviève DEGOLS, Deputy Director for Bachelor's Degrees,

The following items were on the agenda:
Presentation and vote on the initial 2019 budget
The initial 2019 budget for the Montpellier Faculty of Science was presented by Madame Isabelle Tournier, Deputy Director in charge of Finance.
This budget was drawn up in several phases:
- Meeting on the deployment of the Contracts of Objectives and Means - COM - of the University's UFRs, Schools and Institutes, on May 30, 2018;
- Technical meeting with the University's central Directorates, on September 13, 2018;
- Management dialogue with the University Presidency, on October 19, 2018.
In total, the initial 2019 budget for the Montpellier Faculty of Science voted and approved at the meeting,
amounts to€4,726,629 in expenditure and revenue.
In light of our UFR Sciences' 2018 budget performance and the efforts reflected in the 2019 budget, the Presidency of the University of Montpellier has decided to make an exceptional increase to our operating budget. In addition, a review of the proposed allocation of resources is already underway, taking full account of the specific characteristics of our Faculty.
Finally, the Board of the Faculty of Science proceeded to the "vote in principle" of the allocations to the Faculty of Science's Teaching Departments, under the initial 2019 Budget.
Vote on agreements
=> Vote on a service contract between the University of Montpellier - Faculty of Science - and the Cévenn'Essences company - (in French)
=> Vote on the financial participation of the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier in the first scientific film festival"Sud de Sciences" -participation paid to the Kimiyo association, which offers its experience in scientific animation in various fields such as Astronomy, Robotics, Physics, Chemistry, Biodiversity, ... -.
