The professional training contract

The professional training contract is a private-law employment contract that can be concluded as a fixed-term or permanent contract with no age limit. It falls under the category of continuing education and is managed by the Continuing Education Department of the University of Montpellier. The professional training contract allows the acquisition of a state-recognized diploma.
It is intended for students aged 16 to 25 to complete their initial training or for job seekers over the age of 26.


Eligible training courses

All national degrees from the Faculty of Science are eligible for the professional training contract.


Beneficiaries

  • Young people aged 16 to 25 inclusive, in order to complete their initial training
  • Job seekers aged 26 and over.
  • Recipients of active solidarity income (RSA), specific solidarity allowance (ASS), or adult disability allowance (AAH)
  • People who have benefited from a subsidized contract (single integration contract – CUI)

Beyond the age of 26, registration as a job seeker with France Travail is mandatory.


Employers

All private-sector employers subject to continuing professional training funding requirements. Public industrial and commercial establishments (EPICs) such as RATP, SNCF, the National Forestry Office, and maritime armament companies may enter into professional training contracts.


Remuneration

Hiring assistance

AFE (Flat-Rate Employer Assistance) : This is a subsidy of up to €2,000 for a full-time position under certain conditions (payment after 3 months and at the end of the contract).

Assistance with hiring job seekers aged 45 or over on professional training contracts:
This assistance can be up to €2,000 for a full-time position under certain conditions (can be combined with AFE).
