Professionalization contract

The "contrat de professionnalisation" is a private-law employment contract that can be signed on a fixed-term or permanent basis, with no age limit. It is managed by the Continuing Education Department of the University of Montpellier. The contrat de professionnalisation enables the acquisition of a state-recognized diploma.
It is intended for students aged 16 to 25 to complete their initial training, or for jobseekers over 26.
Eligible courses
All of the Faculty of Science's national diplomas are eligible for the professionalization contract.
Beneficiaries
- Young people aged 16 to 25 to complete their initial training
- Jobseekers aged 26 and over.
- Recipients of the revenu de solidarité active (RSA), allocation de solidarité spécifique (ASS) or allocation aux adultes handicapés (AAH).
- People who have benefited from a subsidized contract (contrat unique d'insertion - CUI)
Over the age of 26, you must register with France Travail as a job seeker.
Employers
All private-sector employers liable for financing continuing vocational training. Public industrial and commercial establishments (EPIC) such as RATP, SNCF, Office National des Forêts and shipping companies can sign professionalization contracts.

Hiring assistance
AFE (Aide Forfaitaire à l'Employeur) This is a grant of up to €2,000 for a full-time job, subject to certain conditions (payment at 3 months and end of contract).
Assistance for hiring a jobseeker aged 45 or over on a professionalization contract:
This is a grant of up to €2,000 for a full-time position, subject to certain conditions (can be combined with the AFE).
