Skincatchcolor: State-of-the-art equipment in chemistry
Ms. Véronique Montero, director of the ICAP Master’s program in Cosmetic Engineering in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier, extends her warmest thanks to all of her industry partners.
Thanks to their trust and contributions, the organization was able to purchase devices for training purposes to evaluate the effectiveness of cosmetic products, such as the Skincatchcolor from Delfin (the world leader in portable skin research instruments).
This high-tech portable probe is suitable for a wide variety of applications and ensures high-quality, accurate measurements.
Thus, aA collaborative educational project centered on the Delfin assessment tools, was established between the students in the ICAP Cosmetics Master’s 1 program, Ms. Manon BARRA, Director of the startup WAFE Care in Lansargues (a 2015 graduate of the ICAP Master’s program), and the HBF3M club, chaired by Céline Allègre.
This project was a natural collaboration, thanks to the involvement of the M1 students and Laurène Baiget, an ICAP master’s student and National 1 player for HBF3M, who rallied her classmates, her coaches Manuela Ilie and Tiphaine Mennesson, and the entire team!
The students were tasked with developing cosmetic products designed for athletes and evaluating their effectiveness using Delfin probes. The students set up the testing protocols, and thanks to the probes’ portability, measurements could be taken directly from the female athletes at their training sites.
This project enabled the students to develop essential skills in cosmetics research and development and to become more competitive as they enter the workforce. The ICAP Master’s in Chemistry: Cosmetics Engineering program regularly seeks out collaborative, real-world projects with industry partners to help students enhance their skills.
