Transgender students

Steps to follow for a request to use a customary first name for transgender people

^1st stage

Student

Read and download the application form on the Faculty of Science website

Form to complete

Inform the Transversal Missions division at fds.mitra@umontpellier.fr of your request.
Complete the form, sign it and contact the VP RS: vprs@umontpellier.fr

^2nd stage

Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility (VP CSR)

Meets and accompanies the student
Checks the form and gives it to the student

^3rd step

Student

Send the completed and stamped form to the Transversal Missions Department fds.mitra@umontpellier.fr

^4th stage

Transversal Missions Division (MITRA)

Issue the new student card and give it to the student
Informs the student of his/her new UM e-mail address

These procedures allow us to take into account the use of the first name only on internal school documents (e.g. student card, registration list, e-mail address, etc.).

For changes to official documents (diplomas, contracts, agreements, etc.), a notification of authorization to change the first name is required - to be obtained from the registrar: service-public.fr
